In an effort to make myself post more, I'm trying a couple of things. One of these: WiP Wednesday! Here is some of the various stuff I'm working on.
Knitting:
This is an accidental WIP, because I thought they were done. They're socks in White Iris Yarns' MCN stripe (merino cashmere nylon) in a basic ribbed pattern with a princess sole (sole knitted inside out so that the smoother side is against the foot.) The colorway is "She's in Love with the Boy" which, if you can't see the picture, is an electric blue / hot pink stripe combination, which I adore. How are these socks an accidental WIP? Turns out I knit the second sock two stripes short in the leg. They're cuff-down socks so I'm going to pick out the cast on edge to knit it longer.

Weaving:
I have an 8 yard warp on my Baby Wolf loom in brown Harrisville Shetland wool to make three scarves in various twill patterns. The first one is all brown, the second one (shown in the photo) is brown warp / dark blue weft, and the third is in a variegated yarn. I'm on the third one now, but given how early spring seems to be coming this year (and winter never really came at all!) I may not get them done in time to be used. Oh well.

Spinning:
I'm currently spinning a beautiful Merino/Tussah silk 80/20 top braid from Play at Life Fiber Arts in the colorway "Loud and Proud" (a rainbow colorway.) I've split the fiber to give me long, single color repeats instead of the multiple repeats I'd get from spinning it in order. I'm only on the red—well, pink—section right now (shown on the bobbin of my wheel). The second photo is my fiber bowl of the remaining fluff.

Normally I would be knitting one or two more projects but I happen to be between projects at the moment, unusually enough. But I've started winding some balls of yarn to cast on this weekend (when my spring break starts!) so I expect the next WIP Wednesday will show a rather different set. Until then!
