My latest obsession

I played violin for eight years, and I never had even a fraction of her talent. Also, I adore this song.

Also in my latest obsession: Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. This is the first time I've read Margaret Atwood, and I was expecting it to be... dense, I suppose. On the contrary, I cannot put it down. I think I've seen my own reaction in my writing; I keep coming back to images of free movement, of easy movement, even in unrelated contexts, and I think that derives from her characters so covered and veiled and governed in every step of their lives. I also think it comes from me being bundled up to handle the cold. >.< (I hate winter.)
